Wimbledon 1987 - Navratilova vs Graf

About time that one of tennis' big guns put their head above the net to speak out on the max fixing allegations and Navratilova has done that.

WIMBLEDON legend Martina Navratilova has called for a lifetime ban on match-fixing tennis cheats.

The nine-time women’s singles winner suggested today that anyone caught throwing a game for money should be removed fromthe circuit for good to protect the sport's integrity.

Last month, amid concern over illegal betting, an independent review called on professional tennis bodies to implement an anti-corruption programme.

Other recommendations included restrictions on those allowed to enter players’ locker rooms.
