There are lots of events going on during the NBA all star weekend, with the game itself being played at 8pm est on Sunday.

There are the skills challenge, shooting competitions, the always-enjoyable slam dunk competition and others.

The National Post has a live blog that will see constant updates, starting at around 7:30pm EST if you want to talk sports. Or you can post a comment here!

The live blog kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET, the All-Star night begins at 8 p.m. ET. To read the blog or ask questions to the guys during the event, simply click on the box below and fire away.

There was a game of H-O-R-S-E played last night, which was my area of specialty when it came to basketball. Kevin Durant won after being down four points by placing shots from as far away as the stands.

Geico's sponsored game of H-O-R-S-E just concluded and the uninteresting shots won out. Kevin Durant who was down 4 letters in no time at all outlasted Joe Johnson and O.J. Mayo.

NowPublic staffer Jon Azpiri has been covering the All-star events and posted a full roster of both teams:

Although the NBA All-Star Game is supposed to be intended the NBA's elite players, it seems that half the league takes part in the NBA All-Star Weekend in some form or another, be it through the NBA Rookie Challenge, Slam Dunk Contest, or Three-Point Competition.

Basketball never was my top sport but it was always there for me. Rather I was out playing with friends, needing some time to think, or just wanted to be alone, the court was always there.
This picture was taken on just such a night.

After a tough day at work and an even worst night at home, i just wanted to get out and be alone for a while. So i grabed my basketball and went for a walk. I shot hoops at the court beside my appartment for about an hour and soon forgot all my troubles and felt like me again.

I took this picture as a reminder of how different or world can be when we take time off from life and play basketball.
