Time And Date: NBA Draft 2010, June 24, 7-12pm EST, ESPN
Unless the Washington Wizards opt for a forward with their Number 1 pick in the 2010 NBA draft it is likely they will select John Wall, 19, the stand out guard for Kentucky.
Recently, John Wall had a workout for the Wizards and if he ends up their count on Gil Arenas to be his wing man.
When I met with the Wizards staff in Chicago they told me that I'd still have the ball in my hands. Gil Arenas would be the 2-guard. They said that's pretty much a guarantee, but we'll see how everything works from there.
Evan Turner is another stand out guard who may well go number 2 in the NBA draft 2010. At 6 foot 7 Evan Turner has 3 inches on the 6 foot 4 John Wall but he is more suited as a number 2 guard then the Rondoesque, John Wall.
Then there are few big men, Derrick Favors, the six foot ten forward from Georgia Tech and Demarcus Cousins the talented but troubled six foot eleven center from Kentucky.
The New Jersey Nets need a big man so look to them to pick Derrick Favors.
It will be a most interesting draft as it comes prior to the LeBron James free agency date of July 1. It is still unclear how the draft will impact, in any way, the stakes to land LeBron.
Count on it being a very busy summer in the NBA starting June 24th for the NBA Draft 2010
