NBA Mock Munch: Griffin on Top, Rubio solid at #2

The NBA Mock Draft Database had pretty decent updates over the last 2 days.  12 mocks were updated today.  Here are the stats:

Updated in April:  26

We also updated our Top 5 Consensus.  The Consensus Leader Board is based on mock drafts updated from in the month of April (total of 26 mocks).  Here are the leaders in the top 5 spots (to be declared a CONSENSUS pick by the Database, a player must be projected in that slot by 60% of the mocks):

1st Overall:  Blake Griffin easily remains the NBA Mock Database consensus Top Pick of the 26 mocks updated in April.  An impressive 92% have Griffin number one, the highest projection in the Top Five consensus.  Griffin remains a CONSENSUS Database 1st overall pick.

2nd Overall:  Ricky Rubio knocks Hasheem Thabeet out of the 2nd spot.  Rubio and Thabeet have been back and forth with mock darfts at the #2 spot.  Rubio's lead seems to be growing though, now 57% of the 26 mocks updated in April have Rubio 2nd overall, that is 2% shy of consensus status.  Although not a consensus pick at 2nd overall, Rubio is closing in.

3rd Overall:  Jordan Hill holds the 3rd overall lead for the third consecutive munch.  10 of the 26 mocks, or 38%, project Hill at the 3rd overall slot.  That is a decline of 6% as some mocks are starting to slot Thabeet at 3rd.  Not enough to be declared a consensus by the Database.

4th Overall:  Hasheem Thabeet holds the lead with 8 of the 26 mocks or 31% projection. James Harden and Jordan Hill are getting slotted here as well.  Thabeet declared for the NBA Draft officially yesterday.  Thabeet is new in this slot and he does not have enough to be declared the Database consensus.    

5th Overall:  James Harden knocks out Brandon Jennings as the leader at the 5th overall slot, tallying 7 of the 26 mocks, or 27%.  Harden regains this spot.  Greg Monroe is popping up in some mocks here again.  Not enough to be declared consensus by the Database.
