The NCAA basketball 2009 Tournament will produce the Final Four by the end of this weekend. The NCAA Final 4 will see each team represent its' region and it is still a possibility to see all four number one ranked teams make it into the Final Four in consecutive years.

The Elite Eight teams are set with Louisville and Michigan representing the Midwest; Connecticut and Missouri coming out of the West; Pittsburgh and Villanova surviving the East, and North Carolina and Oklahoma facing off in the South.

MidWest Region:

The regional finals will begin with The University of Connecticut Huskies playing host to the Missouri Tigers in a one versus three seed matchup. Many believed that this side of the bracket will see UConn playing Memphis, but Missouri dominated Memphis to put themselves in the Elite Eight. Missouri is still the definite underdogs, but we have see crazier things in the NCAA March Madness. The game will start at 4:40pm ET.

East Region:

The second game of the Elite Eight will see number one Pittsburgh Panthers playing third seed Villanova in a David versus Goliath matchup. DeJuan Blair who has had an amazing season will lead the charge for Pittsburgh against a Villanova team lacking players on the inside to play against Blair. This game might be closer than others think, but if Pittsburgh is allowed to play their game, we shall see this number one team representing the Big East. The game will start at 7:05pm ET.

Midwest Region:

Louisville and Michigan State will do battle on March 29 at 2:20pm EDT. Michigan St. is looking stronger and stronger by defeating Kansas the 2008 champions 67-62. Louisville, a team many picked to win the tournament has had somewhat of an easy path to get to Michigan State and will definitely be in tough against a Michigan team hoping to represent the Midwest.

South Region:

The South holds the most intriguing matchup with number one North Carolina playing the number two seed, Oklahoma. The Sooners on the back of Blake Griffin is facing a North Carolina team that has blown out most competitions with LSU coming up the closest losing by 14 points. They annihilated Radford by 43 points and most recently, Gonzaga by 21 points. The Sooners are in tough against UNC, but on the backs of Blake Griffin, we may see an upset.

The 2009 NCAA Final Four will begin on April 4th with all four teams in action to determine who will reach the 2009 NCAA championship game. Kansas and Memphis made it to the big dance in 2008. Maybe we will see two number one seeded teams again this year playing for the championship.
