Ndamukong Suh Fined 20 Grand for Andy Dalton Hit

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh hit Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton pretty hard in their August 12 preseason game, ripping Dalton's helmet off. The Andy Dalton hit cost Suh $20,000 in fines.

Last season, Ndamukong's hit on Jake Delhomme cost him $7500, and his hit on Jay Cutler cost $15,000. Suh has paid more in excessive-hit fines than some of us make in a year. Now add $20,000 to that, and you're starting to see what is called a "financial disincentive".  However, Suh vowed to keep playing-- and hitting-- hard.
