Pictures of an alleged new release of Nike Air Max LeBrons have basketball fans wondering where the Clevleand Cavs star allegiances lie. The  so-called Nike Air Max LeBron VII Hardwood Classic Edition photos have been leaked, and the kicks are royal blue and orange, the team colors of the New York Knicks. LeBron James has long been rumored to join the Knicks when he becomes a free agent in 2010.

Many astute Cleveland sports fans will no doubt recall that royal blue and orange are not just Knicks colors, but the team colors of the Cavaliers back in the 90s when players like Larry Nance and Mark Price starred for the Cavs. It could be argued that the alleged LeBron Nike shoes are meant as a tribute to the Cavs past.

However, the bottom of the New Nike LeBrons feature the phrase "I Heart New York," a message that Cavs fans likely wouldn't want associated with their star.

As it turns out, the New York Post is reporting that the "I Love New York" Nike Air Max LeBrons are nothing more than an internet hoax.

Here are the so-called Nike Air Max LeBron VII Hardwood Classic Edition photos.
