New Wonderlic Test 2013? Player Assessment Tool Sample Questions
The Wonderlic Test Now Has a Rival at the 2013 NFL Combine--The Player Assessment Tool (PAT). What Is It? Are There Any Sample Questions? Can I Take a Player Assessment Tool Test?
To put things in internet terms, the Wonderlic Test = Old and Busted. The Player Assessment Tool (PAT) = new hotness.
Well, not exactly. The Wonderlic test, which tries to measure the mental aptitude of NFL prospects, will still be used at the 2013 NFL Combine. This despite the fact that the Wonderlic test has been widely debunked.
However, NFL teams will also begin using a new aptitude test known as the Player Assessment Tool.
The test is designed to be as much of a personality test as an intelligence test.
According to an NFL memo, the new PAT "measures a wide range of competencies, including learning styles, motivation, decision-making skills, responding to pressure or unexpected stimuli, and core intellect."
Can I Take a Sample Player Assessment Tool Test?
Not yet. Thus far, a sample of the "new Wonderlic test" has not been released.
Michigan Live, however, provides an example of the type of question that might be asked:
If I felt like I was not getting enough balls thrown my way, I would ...
A) Continue to work my hardest in practice and ask my position coaches what I can do to improve my game
B) Wait until the season is over and demand to be traded
C) Line up incorrectly during a crucial moment in next Sunday's game
D) None of the above, I already told people what I think on Twitter
That's not much help, but we'll update as leaked questions become available.
