The NFL Mock Draft Database has been updated.  Wasn't planning on doing a Consensus update so soon, but we had massive updates today, adding 3 new mocks and updating 45 total mocks!

Here's the stats:

Total Mocks in Database:  304
Updated Today:  45
Updated in April:  99

stafford.jpgOur Consensus projections are based on all Mock Drafts updated in the month of April, plus 3 other Premium mocks.   That means we munched together a total of 102 mock drafts!  To be declared a consensus, a player must be projected by at least 60% of mocks.

1st Pick (Detroit Lions):  CONSENSUS

QB Matt Stafford.  Stafford remains the CONSENSUS choice as the top overall pick in the draft.  Out of the 102 mock drafts munched, 75% project Stafford as 1st pick.  That's down 2% from last munch update of 4/4/09.  Stafford remains the NFL Mock Draft Database CONSENSUS choice as 1st pick.

2nd Pick (St. Louis Rams):  CONSENSUS

OT Jason Smith.  Smith now tallies 66% of the 102 mock drafts updated over the last 7 days.  That is down 2% since our last update on 4/4/09. Smith remains the NFL Mock Draft Database CONSENSUS choice as 2nd pick.

3rd Pick (Kansas City Chiefs):  CONSENSUS

LB Aaron Curry.  Curry now tallies 80% of the 102 mock drafts.  That is no change since our last update on 4/4/09 and Curry as the third pick is the highest percentage projection. Curry remains the NFL Mock Draft Database CONSENSUS choice as 3rd pick.

4th Pick (Seattle Seahawks):  NO Consensus

OT Eugene Monroe.  Monroe has slipped a bit after gaining on our last update.  He now tallies 40% of the 102 mock drafts updated.  That is down 5% since our last update on 4/4/09.  Monroe leads as the 4th pick, but is not a consensus pick.

5th Pick (Cleveland Browns):  CONSENSUS

DE Brian Orakpo.  Orakpo now tallies 63% of the 102 mock drafts.  That is a decrease of 8% since our last update on 4/4/09.  WR Michael Crabtree and DE Everette Brown are also choices here.  Orakpo remains the NFL Mock Draft Database CONSENSUS choice as 5th pick.

There you have it.  Brand new consensus numbers updated today based on ALL Mock Drafts updated in APRIL.
