NFL Player Found Dead: How Did Kenny McKinley Die?

 Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his apartment Monday. The  second-year wideout played in eight games in his rookie season with seven kick returns for 158 yards before going on injured reserve with a knee injury on Dec. 29.

So how did Kenny McKinley Die?

Authorities are saying that Kenny McKinley appears to have committed suicide. After receiving a call, police arrived at McKinley's apartment and his body. It is believed that he died from a self-inflicted gun wound, although police are quick to point out that an investigation is ongoing.

The death of Kenny McKinley is the second recent tragedy to befall the Broncos organization. Cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting on New Year's Day 2007.
