I'm taking a swing at these NFL Power Rankings (Week 17)...  The NFL playoff scenario looks like Indiana vs. San Diego for the AFC, and New Orleans vs. Philadelphia for the NFC. Yeah, I turned to the good people at Bleacher Report, Sporting News, USA Today, and Oregonlive for some help with this one, since Jon Azpiri is away.

Here are some NFL Power Rankings for Week 17 (Week 16 ranking is in brackets):

  1. (1) Indianapolis Colts (14-1)
  2. (2) New Orleans Saints (13-2)
  3. (4) San Diego Chargers (12-3) (Bleacher Report has SD and NO switched)
  4. (8) Philadelphia Eagles (11-4)
  5. (3) Minnesota Vikings (11-4)
  6. (9) Dallas Cowboys (10-5)
  7. (6) Green Bay Packers (10-5)
  8. (11) New England Patriots (10-5
  9. (5) Arizona Cardinals (10-5)
  10. (7) Cincinnati Bengals (10-5)
  11. (18) Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7)
  12. (12) Baltimore Ravens (8-7)
  13. (17) Houston Texans (8-7)
  14. (19) Atlanta Falcons (8-7) (Oregonlive gives a more grim outlook, placing them at #16: "left to lament")
  15. (14) New York Jets (8-7)
  16. (22) Carolina Panthers (7-8)
  17. (16) New York Giants (8-7)
  18. (13) Miami Dolphins (7-8)
  19. (21) Tennessee Titans (7-8) (USAToday has the Titans at #4)
  20. (10) Denver Broncos (8-7)
  21. (20) San Francisco 49ers (7-8)
  22. (15) Jacksonville Jaguars (7-8)
  23. (23) Chicago Bears (6-9)
  24. (25) Oakland Raiders (5-10)
  25. (27) Buffalo Bills (5-10)
  26. (31) Cleveland Browns (4-11)
  27. (29) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-12)
  28. (28) Seattle Seahawks (5-10)
  29. (24) Washington Redskins (4-11)
  30. (26) Kansas City Chiefs (3-11)
  31. (32) St. Louis Rams (1-14)
  32. (30) Detroit Lions (2-13)
The New Orleans Saints didn't just trip up against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15. They got exposed, and quite clearly, in a big way. If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can sneak by them, the question is begging to be asked, "Who can't?"
