Nicole Ayers Found Dead: Former NJ Softball Star Found Stabbed

Nicole Ayers, 22, Was Found Stabbed to Death on a Soccer Field in Southampton Township

Nicole Ayers' body was discovered on Monday around 10:30am, but police have just confirmed the identity of the victim.

WPIX is reporting that a suspect in the case is being interviewed, but their name has not been released to the media yet. Nicole Ayers' body was found in a recreation area by public work employees, but any motive for the killing has not been identified at this time.

No charges have been laid in the case, but police have confirmed that Ayers died of multiple stab wounds.

Ayers was scheduled to attend classes at Rutgers-Camden starting this fall.
