In the ongoing  Athletics meet 53 medals were decided on this day.

MUSSOORIE, 5 Nov: On the third day of the ongoing 8th Regional Athletics Meet, Nisha Gosain of St Lawrence School won the 3000 metres race in the Junior Girls’ Division. Devika Bangari of Sanatan Dharm Inter College came 2nd and Meena Rawat of St Lawrence stood third in the keenly contested race.
In the boys’ section of 3000 metres for Juniors, Pankaj Rawat (NHS) came 1st, Naresh Rawat, St Lawrence School, stood 2nd and Raghuvir Rauchela, stood third.
Manoj Rawat, St Lawrence, won the gold in the 800 meters sub-junior boys, 2nd was Ankit Jairwan of Nirmala School and Aakash stood third.
In the 100 metres sprint for senior girls, Madhu Tamta of Sanatan Dharm Inter College was the winner. Rajni Bisht was 2nd and Rajani Pandey was 3rd.
In the 100 meters sprint in sub-junior girls, Neetu took Gold while Lajwanti of St Lawrence won Silver.
In the Discus Throw, senior girls, Rekha of Sanatan Dharm won Gold, Neelam and Nitu Rawat of Mussoorie Girls won silver and bronze, respectively.
In the Senior Boys Javelin Throw, Sanjay Singh of Nirmala took Gold while Arun Bisht of Ghananand received Silver and Rahul Panwar took Bronze.
Harbhajan Singh Thukral, Anita Saxena, Anil Goyal presented the medals to the winners.  
Sunder Lal Nautiyal, GGIC, Satish Sharma NIC, Rajesh Saxena, Anuj Tayal, Rafiq Ahmed, Kavita Negi, Anita Rawat, Dinesh Rawat, VS Negi, Indu Uniyal, Manju Thapa, Gajendar Negi and others were present on the occasion.
Tomorrow’s fixture includes cross-country races and the meet will conclude with the final of the relay races in all divisions.
