Notre Dame Lacrosse and Villanova Lose in NCAA Tournament

The 2009 D1 Men's Lacrosse Tournament is well under way with several games this weekend. Today, the Notre Dame lacrosse team lost to Maryland by a score of 7-3, ending the Fighting Irish's tournament run. Maryland will go on to play the winner of the Sienna-Syracuse game.

Likewise, Villanova was thumped 18-6 by the top-ranked University of Virginia. UVA lacrosse will go on to play Johns Hopkins in the quarter finals, who beat Brown University yesterday.


Here are other NCAA lacrosse scores: Cornell beat Hofstra 11-8; Princeton defeated UMass 5-1; Duke thumped Navy 14-5; and North Carolina edged UMBC 15-13.
