Now Wanjiru ditches his church to become a presbyterian.

If you ever watched your TV during the Beijing Olympics men's marathon, the winning moment was not only awesome, but also religious as Samuel Kamau wanjiru did the Roman Catholic Cross...remember!

But the latest vibe is that the star who has been brought up by his Mother Ann Wanjiru on Roman Catholic faith ditched it and joined Nyahururu Presbyterian Church in a quick ceremony witnessed by the local church priest Rev.Martin Mwangi.

His short prayer on the finish line reflected and indicated that the 21 year old was a strong follower and believer of the gospel and more so it reflected clearly that he was a Roman Catholic.

"Wanjiru's prayers after he won was an honour to all the Catholics in the world and we were proud of him." commented one of the local journalist.

In Nyahururu, Wanjiru used to attend the local Catholic Cathedral where he had made a good relationship with several fathers.

Wanjiru professed a new faith where he said that he accepted Christ as his saviour. It was not clear why the Beijing marathon star decided to ditch his former church where he was expected to ceremonise his marriage with his wife Trizah in the near future.
