NY Giants vs NY Jets: Victor Cruz Catch Video,Eli Manning Injury
Giants Rookie Victor Cruz Makes Amazing Catch, Injury Knocks Eli Manning Out Of The Game. (video)
It may be only pre-season but we are talking about the the New York Giants vs The New York Jets so it should come as no surprise that rookie Victor Cruz may have secured a place on the Giants roster partly because of an amazing catch (see video).
Victor Cruz is...
an undrafted wide receiver from UMass who pulled in three touchdown catches in the Giants' 31-16 win. Cruz corralled scoring grabs of 64, 34 and five yards.
The 64-yarder was, without a doubt, the crown jewel of his six catch, 145-yard coming-out party.
Victor Cruz even got praise from LeBron James who posted this on his Twitter account.
“Victor Cruz going nuts on the Jets tonight on #MNF,” James wrote.
“Undrafted rookie from UMass. He’s gonna have a job this year for sure.”
Told that James had noticed his play, Cruz said: “Did he really? Wow, that’s crazy.”
Victor Cruz's performance was overshadowed somewhat by the Eli Manning injury, a gash to the forehead that knocked the Giants QB out of the game. It took 12 stitches to to close the Manning injury and he likely won't miss any games.

Can't have too many healthy receivers at this point.
