O.J. Simpson was sentenced to 15 years behind bars and will serve a minimum of 6 9 years* before he could be eligible for parole for his role in a Las Vegas hotel robbery-kidnapping incident Sept. 13, 2007.

The former football star, actor and sportscaster could remain in a yet-to-be determined Nevada prison for as many as 16 years following his sentencing on 12 criminal charges, including robbery and kidnapping, by Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass.

Receiving an identical sentence was Clarence Stewart, a Simpson accomplice in the unsuccessful armed effort to retrieve what Simpson claimed was sports memorabilia that belonged to him.
