Live on CBC News this morning, cameras have been covering the Olympic Torch's arrival by airplane from Greece and it's lighting ceremony here, in Victoria, BC.

"The Olympic flame for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games touched down at Victoria International Airport more than an hour late on Friday, at around 8:45 a.m. PT."

It is a shame they  didn't get some non-athletes to be the first runners, after all

do Katrina and Simon need the limelight?   One of the negatives of these

sorts of affairs, it the elitism shown.  And what's a summer games athlete

doing in a Winter Games sport.  Surely, they could have got some old

down and out Ex-Winter athlete to do the job.
