NP Rank:
Olympics to ban social network photos & videos
SECURITY
On Monday this week we learned that British Army General Sir Nick Parker will be in charge of coordinating the armed forces during the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic games.
General Parker revealed that six sites three of which are high rise residential buildings have been chosen for the positioning of high-velocity anti-aircraft missiles (HVMs) and four batteries of Rapier surface-to-air missiles, which are the UK's primary air defense weapon will be placed in open spaces – at Blackheath, Lea Valley reservoir, Shooters Hill and Epping Forest.
RAF Typhoon fighters will also be on hand to help to deter the larger threats with military snipers deployed in helicopters if required to shoot pilots of low-flying aircraft that might be involved in terrorist attacks during the games........MORE.......

In the unlikely event that terrorist action did break out inside the games we learn today that ‘Images, video and sound recordings taken by a Ticket Holder cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes and a Ticket Holder may not license, broadcast or publish video and/or sound recordings, including on social networking websites and the internet more generally, and may not exploit images, video and/or sound recordings for commercial purposes under any circumstances, whether on the internet or otherwise, or make them available to third parties for commercial purposes.’
Ruck, a semi-retired freelance, blasted the rules as unenforceable. He said there will be a 'million and one' people taking photos and video, whether by camera or mobile camera phone. 'The sheer notion of trying to ban any form of photography, other than for viewing at home, is nonsensical – it beggars belief.'
By agreeing to the conditions of entry, spectators automatically grant Olympic organisers the right to broadcast, publish and license any images taken of them watching the sports action.

CONSPIRACY Some people believe an elite clique will use the games to simulate an alien invasion or nuclear attack in their plan for global domination.
You'll find them on cult conspiracy blogs such as Red Ice Creations, Godlike Productions and Above Top Secret, or even making their own video presentations on YouTube.......more...
