Team GB Lightweight Four

Great Britain's lightweight men's four won silver as they were edged out by South Africa in a thrilling final at Eton Dorney.

Richard and Peter Chambers, Rob Williams and Chris Bartley won Britain's third rowing medal in six minutes 03.09 seconds, with defending champions Denmark taking bronze.

But despite being roared on by a capacity crowd, the British crew were pipped at the line by 0.25 seconds and had to settle for silver, the first Olympic medal of their career.
