Pacman Jones Ustream Video: Winnipeg Nixes Deal Over Comments
Just days after it looked like the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were about to sign Adam 'Pacman' Jones, it appears that the troubled cornerback won't be heading up north to play in the CFL. The Blue Bombers announced that they were no longer in signing Pacman Jones.
In a statement, Winnipeg Blue Bombers coach Mike Kelly said that the team backed away from offering Pacman Jones a deal after doing some "due diligence." So what caused the change of heart? Many think it was a Pacman Jones Ustream video, in which the former Cowboy talked trash and showed little interest in the CFL.
During the Ustream video, Pacman Jones refers to the CFL as the UFL, a reference to the upstart United Football League.
"Don't throw no dollars at me," said Pacman Jones in the Ustream video. "If you want to throw somethin' at me, throw me an NFL contract, man."
"I've got a clause in my contract, when I get a call from an NFL team I can go over," he said. "I actually got two calls today, so if they tell me tomorrow that Pacman's back, that'd be a bummer for all my Winnipeg fans."
One Winnipeg fan called in to chat Pacman Jones during livestream and told him about the cold weather. Jones didn't seem bother by it. "Pain is only temporary," he said. "Besides, I'm only gonna be there for eight weeks, or shorter."
Here is the Adam Pacman Jones Ustream video.
