PAK vs SL 2nd ODI Cricket Live Score,Streaming & Highlights Free
Pakistan's talented bowling unit stuck to their plans for the second game running, but Sri Lanka's batsmen weren't as generous with their wickets as they were in the first match. Tillakaratne Dilshan wasted a fortuitous start, and Kumar Sangakkara failed again, but Upul Tharanga survived an intense examination. Pakistan allowed him two escapes, but Tharanga wasn't in any hurry to make them pay as he laboured to 35 off 64 balls, leading Sri Lanka to 90 for 2 off 25 overs.
For the second time in recent memory, Sri Lanka got off to a brisk start though their openers hardly managed to lay bat on ball. In an August ODI in Hambantota, Doug Bollinger did everything in his opening spell except get a wicket; Upul Tharanga was beaten by his seam movement repeatedly without getting an edge, and went on to get a century, while Tillakaratne Dilshan made fifty. Today, Umar Gul played Bollinger's part, while Dilshan assumed the role of the clueless flasher.

Ten times in his first spell, Gul hit the seam at a lively pace outside the off stump and got the ball to jag away. On nine of those occasions, Dilshan groped for the ball with stationary feet and failed to connect. Just to break the monotony, he managed to lay a soft edge on one of the legcutters, to pick up his first four. Just when Dilshan seemed to be getting a hang of things, Gul slipped in one that held its line. Dilshan shouldered arms, and the ball buzzed menacingly close to the stumps.
Aizaz Cheema was not as indecipherable, though Tharanga had a few nervy moments against him. He nicked Cheema's patent away-seamer past the slips, before driving a half-volley straight to cover where Imran Farhat grassed it. Dilshan eventually found release, dragging Cheema for successive fours in the eighth over, before Tharanga drilled Gul into the covers for another boundary. When Dilshan smashed Abdul Razzaq's first ball through point, Sri Lanka had passed 50 in good time, leaving the quicks wicket-less and worried despite bowling better than they had, with a lot more success, in the first ODI.
