Pakistan v New Zealand 1st Test Live Score and Highlights

The first of the two Test matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played at Hamilton from Friday, January 7. Pakistan had begun their tour of New Zealand with a 2-1 loss in the T20Is against the Kiwis but will look to make amends in the longer version of the game.

New Zealand will have the services of their captain Daniel Vettori for the Tests after he had missed the T20Is but most importantly, a fit and in-form Brendon McCullum should open the innings for them. McCullum had flayed the Pakistani bowling attack for a 200 in the tour game and will look to continue to do the same.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will need their top-order to come good. They have Mohammad Hafeez and Taufeeq Umar at the top and more than the runs, the duo will need to bat out time in order to allow the middle-order a chance to face the less shiny ball. 

The two teams have played in a series last year in New Zealand and it had ended in a 1-1 draw. Nothing to say that there is anything between them even this year.
