Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico 

The Pan American Games Opening Ceremony was filled with Mexican folklore colors, mariachis, music and dances.

42 nations participated in the opening parade, beginning with Argentina and ending with host nation Mexico wearing Brazil had an eye-catching  participation with rithmic dancing joy.

The cauldron was lit by Paola Espinosa from La Paz Baja California Sur  who won a diving bronze medal three years ago at the Beijing Olympics.

The general opinon of Mexican citizens is mostly that of amazement and satisfaction at the quality of the ceremony.
