Sophomore Parker McDonald Asks Lindsey Vonn to School Dance

If you're an underclassman and skiing superhero Lindsey Vonn walks past your table, what do you do? If you're 16-year-old Parker McDonald, you ask Lindsey Vonn to homecoming. Like a boss.

Parker McDonald, a second-year student at Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy (clearly I went to the wrong school) brought his A-game with lightning speed when Lindsey Vonn, a two-time Olympic medal-winner, walked by. (She was training with the US Ski Team that weekend.) With equal speed, Vonn said "yes".

“I thought, ‘I need a date and there's Lindsey Vonn. I'll ask her!'” McDonald said. “She walked by my lunch table and I whipped out the question.”

And why would you ask Lindsey Vonn to the homecoming dance?

“I asked her because she's awesome!” he said.

He's right. Lindsey Vonn has 42 career wins and 12 titles to her name by age 27.
