Despite Reports on Sunday That Turned Out to be Fake, Paul the Oracle Octopus in Germany Has Chosen Spain to Win Over Germany in Wednesday's Semi-Final

This time there is video evidence to prove it, so despite these fake photographs of Paul picking the mollusk from the box with the Spanish flag on it, this time he has done it for real.

His prediction: Spain will advance to the final of the 2010 World Cup and Germany will be left behind.

As can be seen in the video, from his tank at the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen Germany, Paul practically ignores the German box and goes straight for the Spanish one.

So far this World Cup, Paul has been 100% right in his predictions, even correctly picking Serbia to win over Germany in the earlier stages, but German fans should not despair too much yet.

In the 2008 European Championships Paul predicted that Germany would win over Spain and he was wrong.

So, now we will find out whether people love Paul the Octopus for his accuracy, or for his previous predilection for supporting Germany. These days, isn't it enough to just be a psychic cephalopod?

Paul's in a tough spot: if he's right, he'll lose all those German fans. If he's wrong, his career in sports commentary could well be over.
