Paul the Orcale Octopus Was Right: Spain Beats Germany in Semi
German Fans Will Not Like the Outcome, but Paul the Oracle Octopus Correctly Predicted Spain's Win Over Germany in the Semi-Final on July 7
Paul the Oracle Octopus has been 100% right in all his predictions about Germany so far in this 2010 World Cup, and now he can add one more to his list. He correctly predicted that Spain would beat Germany and now his nation's team is out of the World Cup.
He predicted that Germany would beat England, and Argentina, and earlier in the tournament he even predicted that Serbia would beat Germany.
His method was simple - two boxes representing Germany and their opponent were lowered in to his tank at the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen Germany with a mollusk in each one and he simply had to pick. Other animals around the world tried to make their own predictions, but none seem to have been as successful as Paul.
Now the big question remains; will Paul make a prediction for the final even though Germany is out of the World Cup or will be take a much deserved break and recharge his psychic powers?

Yes, this is the only creature that has challenged Germans' genius for mathematics and precision. This should be a lesson to the Greeks there's a lot more to octopi than Calamari.:)
