Penn State coach Joe Paterno was fired on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in connection with the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

While many outside of the school agreed with the firing, many Penn State were upset that Joe Pa was let go.

While calling what occurred on Beaver Avenue Wednesday night a full-blown riot might be a bit of a stretch, there's little doubt that the crowd got rowdy.

A WTAJ news van was flipped over and there was some damage to street lights. It's fair to say most students on the streets are well-behaved, just coming outside to see what happens. There are also a lot of shitheads out there tonight
