Denmark's Peter Eastgate won the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old became the youngest WSOP champion, walking away with US $9.1 million in prize money.

Eastwood defeated Russia's Ivan Demidov at approximately 2:30am local time to win the title. Prior to the last hand, the Russian was down to 16.45 million chips while Eastgate had more than 120 million. In one desperate last move, Demidov went all in with two pairs. Eastgate managed to pull off a straight to win his first WSOP bracelet. Demidov walked away with second-place and $58 million in prize money.

The showdown between Eastgate and Demidov lasted more than 15 hours over two days. The two played 274 hands before a winner was declared.

Eastgate stacks his chips at the start of the WSOP Final Table. Note the expression on the photographer in the bottom right.
