Phil Astin, the the personal doctor to deceased WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for illegally distributing prescription drugs to patients.

On January 29, Astin plead guilty to 175 counts, including illegally distributing prescription drugs. The investigation included Astin's conduct with 19 patients, including two who apparently died due to Astin's conduct.

Then there's the case of Benoit. In 2007, Benoit killed his wife and son, before taking his own life. A medical examiner did not decide definitively whether the steroids Astin prescribed for Benoit played a role in the deaths. It's also unclear whether Benoit was one of the 19 patients included in the case.

It's about time someone is held responsible for the position of trust that they have violated.
