Philadelphia Phillies Crush Tampa Bay in Game 4 of the World Series
The Philadelphia Phillies are just one win away from their first World Series championship in 28 years after pounding the Tampa Bay Rays 10-2 in Game 4 of the World Series. The Phillies now have a commanding 3-1 series lead.
The Phillies dominated every aspect of Game 4. Starting pitcher Joe Blanton easily outpitched Rays hurler Andy Sonnanstine, who struggled with pitch control. Blanton, on the other hand, shut down Tampa's top hitters Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena. The pair are now 0 for 29 during the World Series. Longoria's struggles have been compounded by the fact that the Philly crowd chants "E-va! E-va!" every time he's at the plate, a reference to actress Eva Longoria.
Blanton allowed just four hits and two runs. More surprisingly, he helped his own cause by hitting his first career home run.
On the offensive side, the Phillies managed to cash in plenty of runs, after stranding almost all their base runners during the first two games of the series. Slugger Ryan Howard electrified the home crowd with two home runs and five RBIs.
Needing just one more victory to claim the World Series, Phillies fans are practically planning the parade route. With Game 5 set for Philadelphia, Philly fans and players are confident that they can close out the series. Still, the Rays are not likely to go down without a fight. Game 5 will see a rematch of Game 1's starting pitchers: Cole Hamels for the Phillies against Scott Kazmir for the Rays. Whatever happens, Phillies fans will be ready to party.
What will it be like at Citizens Bank Park Monday, with the Phillies on the verge of winning just their second World Series in team history?
"It’ll be absolute bedlam," said Ryan Howard. "One of the craziest places on earth."

Jon Azpiri, I like this story. It's good stuff. Monday will be big day in Philadelphia. The city is excited to see if the Phillies can "win in 5." Red and white will prevail all week, if so.

If the Phillies win tonight when will the parade be?
