Philadelphia Phillies fans have come up with a new ungrammatical slogan for their upcoming World Series run: "Why Can't Us?"

The term has caught on since it was uttered by an ecstatic Phillies fans who called in to a sports radio talk show.

On the XM RadioBaseball This Morning: Playoff Edition today, a caller from Delaware chimed in to share his joy for the Fightins. He may have just created the next great new catch phrase, saying, "Boston did it. The White Sox did it. Why can't us? Why can't us." 2008 Philadelphia Phillies: WHY CAN'T US!

The phrase has caught on and has inspired a series of T-shirts and an obligatory Facebook group

With the Phillies just four wins away from their first World Series championship in nearly 30 years, much of the baseball world is indeed asking, "Why Can't Them?"

I didn't watch the last game of the NLCS, but I certainly heard it when the Phillies won - the city exploded in fireworks, car horns, and cheering! I live on a major city street and people were driving by honking and shouting until after 1 a.m. My husband put in earplugs to get to sleep, and my cat woke up whenever fireworks went off. The next morning, the ENTIRE front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer was dedicated to the headline "We're in" and a photo of the game. The rest of the day's news was on page 3, because the presidential debate, the stock market, and everything else that happened didn't matter nearly as much as the Phillies making the World Series.

Here's something that Chase Utley does often - he's rounding third, on his way home, after a towering home run.

I was able to watch the Phils take the NL East title at a bar in South Philadelphia with friends from the ballpark. It was an amazing night ... looking forward to seeing a parade.
