Today has been a good day for sports interviews. First, we had Charlie Manuel drop an F-bomb during a radio interview.

Over in Europe, we have a different kind of wacky interview. During an ESPN UK interview, Philippe Senderos of Fulham was asked about another player and he had a rather odd answer.

Senderos was asked about free agent Joey Barton. He then responded:

“I think with Joey Barton, you know what to expect. He’s going to come strong in the tackle; he’s going to come in your face.”

Host Nat Coombs responded: “I’m not sure he’d go that far.”

The other guests on the panel start laughing like schoolchildren and Senderos, who is not a native English speaker, realizes he might have phrased that awkwardly.
