In addition to their regular Steelers jerseys, the Pittsburgh Steelers also unveiled new throwback jerseys on April 16, 2012.

The Steelers 2012 retro jerseys are part of the team's 80th anniversary celebration. The 2012 Steelers throwback are a replica of the team's 1934 uniforms back when the team was called the Pittsburgh Pirates just like the baseball team.

The Steelers throwbacks feature black-and-yellow horizontal stripes and gold pants.

The 2012 Steelers throwback jerseys come a couple of weeks after Nike unveiled new uniforms for every NFL team. They didn't do too much to the Pittsburgh Steelers' classic black-and-yellow look.
