Yelena Isinbayeva - New World Record 5_06 Pole Vault in Zurich

Russian Yelena Isinbayeva recovered from here disastrous Berlin World championship perfomance in the last week by setting a new pole vault record of 5.06 meters in Zurich. She betterd her previous best of 5.05 meters record set at Beijing - 2008 Olympics.

Isinbayeva has now  15 outdoor world records and 12 indoors world records in her name.

Yelena Isinbayeva soared to a new world record of 5.06 metres in the pole vault at the IAAF Golden League meeting in Zurich on Friday night.

Isinbayeva, who failed to defend her title at the recent World Championship in Berlin when failing to make a height, atoned for that disappointment with her brilliant performance.

The 27-year-old Russian, who has dominated the event for the last five years and has now set 15 world records outdoors and 12 indoors, improved the mark she set when winning last year's Olympic title by one centimetre.
