Brazil is on fire. The Samba Kings are a lock for the round of 16, and are battling for the top spot in Group G. Portugal has just dismantled North Korea by a stunning 7-1.  However, they must play without Kaka, who was red-carded in the last match.

Portugal only has to draw in order to advance. If they lose, they risk elimination, provided Ivory Coast (whom Brazil defeated 3-1) defeats North Korea by enough goals.

Hey, Italy was just eliminated-- rule nothing out.

Fabio Coentrao v Maicon

Given the attacking bent of Brazilian right-back Maicon and Portugal’s left-back Fabio Coentrao, a high-octane contest of skill and lung power is sure to ensue on Friday. Indeed, the Inter Milan defender has already got off the mark at the finals with a stunning strike against Korea DPR, while the Benfica flyer was an integral part of Portugal’s demolition of the same opponents.
