Powerboat Crash Video 2011: 2 Dead at Key West World Championship

Two  powerboat racers died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Key West World Championship.

Big Thunder Marine, a 46-foot catamaran, caught some air and lost control, according to witnesses. Rescue workers got to the boat quickly and rushed the injured men to Lower Keys Medical Center.

Robert Morgan and Jeffrey Tillman died in the powerboat crash.

Medical crews had to deal with another accident that day as a second boat overturned in a separate accident.

The Key West World Championship is set to continue with scheduled races Friday and the finals Sunday.
