Puck Droppings: Video Chris Pronger Stomps on Ryan Kesler

A couple of months ago Chris Pronger elbowed Ryan Kesler in the head after the whistle. Pronger said that it wasn't his fault because he's so tall. A couple nights ago Chris Pronger stomped on Ryan Kesler's leg while Kesler was lying prone. Pronger said he didn't mean to. The league has done nothing to stop Pronger. He's a Canadian gold medal winner, one of the best defense man in the league, a Stanley Cup winner, and the golden boy of Brian Burke. These should be reasons for the league to ensure that Pronger stays within the limits of the game rather than reasons for them to ignore is behaviour. Watch the video of the stomp here.

Last week Campbell brought down an 8 game suspension for Pronger after due pressure from the public and league. The 8 game suspension as compared to the 30 given Simon was because Pronger's stomp was in the heat of the moment as he was trying to free his leg from a pileup while Simon's stomp was totally gratuitous.
