Punxsutawney Polamalu Ad Video: New Superbowl 2010 Ad
The rush of Super Bowl 2010 ads has begun with a new Punxsutawney Polamalu ad for truTV. The Punxsutawney Polamalu commercial features a miniature version of the Pittsburgh Steelers safety stepping in for Punxsutawney Phil on Groundhog Day. In the truTV ad, Punxsutawney Polamalu comes out of his hole and sees his shadow, indicating that there will be six more weeks of football.
The Punxsutawney Polamalu ad is for their new NFL Contact program, which promises to take fans behind the scenes of the NFL. Many fans had a hard time focusing on the ad's message because they found the mini-version of Troy Polamalu kind of creepy.
Rick Chandler of Out of Bounds points out that the Punxsutawney Polamalu ad is probably worse than the gay dating site ad CBS recently rejected.
They turn down the Mancrunch.com ad, and approve this? I think you'll agree that mini Polamalu is much more horrifying than a stadium full of kissing men. And the actual commercial is even more disturbing than this photo.
Here is the Punxsutawney Polamalu ad video.
