Presentation:

Mohnish Mishra: Yuvi asked me to bat at No. 6, I took it as a challenge, Robin's dismissal brought them back into the game. But Rahul came in and hit a six, then I saw Muralitharan at the other end. It was the first time I was facing him, I took him on and it worked. We have a strong team, the coach and the overseas players are helping us.

Mohnish Mishra is the Man of the Match for finishing the game

Yuvraj: We bowled well initially, the partnership between Hodge and Jadeja took it slightly away. The injury to Smith wasn't good. Mohnish always keeps fighting with me that he wants to open the innings but I tell him that he's a good No. 6 batsman, he finished the game for us, and now I'll keep him at No. 6.

Jayawardene: The game was a lot tighter, we lost three wickets up front and we came back strongly, the bowlers came back well and couldn't make it in the end. We need to make sure we finish it well in the end, but there are a lot of positives to take out. Going into the last three four overs, we still had a stage, a six of Jadeja and a couple of big hits off Murali, we were undone. We should not go negative about what we have done, we need to get one win under the belt and momentum will take us along.

Uthappa: I have been working hard and I'm striking the ball well. The reverse sweep is the easiest shot of the day, but it also led to my downfall. I wanted to take it to the last two three overs and I knew that if I was out there, we would win it easily but I threw away my wicket. Mohnish did well in the end to get us home. Hopefully I can play a lot better than what I did than the previous year and stake a claim in the Indian side. I would like to open the batting in ODIs and the longer formats, but in T20s I like to come down the order.

Mohnish Mishra has played a really mature knock to get Pune over the line. The top order chipped in but no one carried on to make a big score. Hodge and Jadeja starred with the ball but they could not get any support. In the end, Mishra held his nerve and smashed two sixes to help Pune defeat Kochi by four wickets.
