Hip-hop star Lil Wayne has started to blog for ESPN. With just two entries under his belt, the New Orleans-based rapper claims that his blog posts--which feature his random thoughts on football, basketball, baseball, and other major sports-- have drawn a  huge amount of web traffic. In his second post, the rapper beams with pride about how his first post drew more than 400 comments.

The marriage between the sports giant and best-selling rapper seems to be a good one. Lil Wayne is such a sports fans that he claims to have an ESPN tattoo. While ESPN execs appear to be happy to have Wayne's ability to draw in readers, they might be concerned about his fact-checking ability.

In his latest ESPN piece he writes:

First off, my heart goes out to Jason Collier on the Jaguars and the kicker from Tampa Bay, Matt Bryant, who lost his baby. He went out and played, too, on Sunday. That, to me, is the definition of amazing.

Jason Collier ? Huh, he died almost three years ago. He was a white forward who played for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. Who he actually meant was, Richard Collier, a black offensive lineman for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who was shot on September 3rd, and just the other day it was learned that he had to have a leg amputated and will be paralyzed. Nice job ESPN. Keep up the good work Lil Weezy! Amazing might be the editors at ESPN actually reading the crap that Lil Wayne is putting out.
