Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker and Iraq War veteran Tony Fein is dead at age 27. The circumstances of Tony Fein's death are currently unknown. Tony Fein had just been released by the Baltimore Ravens in August, having been drafted after leaving Ole Miss (University of Mississippi).

Tony Fein was last in the news following an incident at a Baltimore restaurant, in which a police officer accused Tony Fein of passing a friend a gun, based on a tip from the restaurant's security guard. Turns out it was a mobile phone. Tony Fein was meant to appear in court over the matter today.

Fein served in the Army for more than three years and served in Iraq before playing college ball. In two seasons at Ole Miss, he had 136 tackles (77 solo) in 24 games, according to the Ravens Web site. Fein was signed as a free agent in June following a minicamp tryout.
Fein enlisted in the Army at age 19 after graduating from high school in Port Orchard, Wash. He served in the Persian Gulf primarily as a Delta scout before being honorably discharged after a three-year enlistment.
