During his playing days, Ray Ferraro was known as the "Little Ball of Hate." Well, it seems like he hasn't mellowed out too much now that's he works as a commentator for TSN.

During the January 31, 2012 game between the Toronto Maples Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins, Ferraro got a little catty when talking about Leafs defenceman Dion Phaneuf. While Ferraro's remarks about Dion Phaneuf weren't broadcast on TSN, they were seen on the network's online livestream.

During a commercial break, Ferraro was speaking to his colleagues in the broadcast booth when he made fun of Dion Phaneuf's high-pitched voice. Ferraro mimicked Phaneuf encouraging his teammates: "Somebody fucking go!" said Ferraro, repeating what the Leafs defenceman said on the bench.

Ferraro made the comment without thinking that his mic was live on the TSN online livestream.
Later in the night, Ferraro said the Penguins' Paul Martin: "Paul Martin is terrible."
