Records in Olympic games on general suspicion? – An Opinion
We’ve seen a lot of new world records in the last day in Beijing. Everybody wonders about Michael Phelps’ great and overwhelming swimming records (medal and world records) and Usain Bolts’ records by declassing the rest of the field twice. But – can it be without any “tuning”?
Compare by yourselves: On the biggest and most important cycling competition, the Tour de France, on 2008 they’ve tested the competitors 415 times for doping. With 199 competitors there is a testing-quote of 2.08, meaning that every competitor is tested twice during the Tour de France 2008. On Beijing 2008 – the greatest sport event on earth – there were 4500 doping tests. But there were 11,128 athletes. This makes a doping test quota of 0.40. That means at least every third athlete has been tested.
We will have to watch the doping reports in the next few years to see what record which is made in the days of the olympic games is for real and which is done with doping.

eibo.richter, I like this story. It's good stuff.
It can without tuning or doping i believe so. Athlets are under control all the time. So all these test in Beijing will be enough.
