Rena 'Sable' Mero: Brock Lesnar's Wife Cheers Him On at UFC 100
For old school wrestling fans, UFC 100 must have been a bit of a flashback. Not only were they watching former WWE star Brock Lesnar act like a heel, they had former WWE diva Rena 'Sablel Mero cheering him on.
Sable and Lesnar have been together since 2004, having met during Lesnar's stint in the WWE. At the time Sable was just coming off a divorce from wrestler Marc Mero. Sable and Lesnar had their ups and downs: the couple was engaged in 2004, broke up in 2005, and then married in 2006.
The Sable-Lesnar relationship has worked out despite a sizable age difference between the two. Sable is 41 while Lesnar just turned 32.
That doesn't seem to bother Lesnar much. After his victory over Frank Mir at UFC 100, Lesnar made a rather crude reference to his wife.
He flipped off the crowd. He solicited more boos with his hands and barked, "I love it! Keep it going!" during a post-fight interview. He then committed the ultimate sin — insulting UFC's top sponsor. Lesnar said he was going to celebrate by drinking Coors Light since "Bud Light won't pay me nothing."
"Hell, I may even get on top of my wife tonight," Lesnar said as his spouse (former WWE valet Rena "Sable" Mero) laughed. "See y'all later."
