Zinedine Zidane has climbed Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe measuring 4,695 m, on Saturday, June 13. One of the most successful soccer players in history of the sport, Zidane climbed Mont Blanc for the sake of the European Leukodystrophy Association (ELA), the charity which he curates. Leukodystrophy is a genetically linked progressive disorder affecting the nervous system.

Zidane admitted it was not easy climbing the mountain. When he got the mountain's summit, he unveiled the red flag of ELA. He than shot a goal at 4810 m as the final symbolic gesture to complete his mission.

Good effort Zidane. Tho you say Mont Blanc is he tallest mountain in western Europe at 4695m but he scored a goal at 4810m!!
