RI men`s doubles defeated by South Korean opponents

Johor Bahru (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s new men`s doubles Nova Widianto and Chandra Wijaya was defeated by their South Korean opponents in the Asian Championship 2008.

They had to bow to second-seeded Lee Yong Dae-Jung Jae Sung in a straight set 16-21, 18-21 in the final round at the Bandaraya Stadium, Johor Bahru, on Sunday.

The unseeded shuttles Nova and Chandra were a new pair after Chandra was separated from his partner, Toni Gunawan, of the United States.

Indonesia has been confirmed to get a mixed double`s title after two of its mixed doubles secured a ticket for the finals of the championship.

The two, Nova Widianto and Liliyana played against Flendy and Vita Marissa.

China still dominated the event by securing four tickets for the finals of the championship. (*) end
