Michigan football head coach Rich Rodriguez held a press conference today to discuss allegations about alleged major violations committed by the Wolverines football team. Taking a cue from Louisville head coach Rick Pitino, Rodriguez was both angry and upset during the press conference.

Rodriguez responded to allegations that he and strength coach Mike Barwis were working their players too hard. According to a report in the Detroit Free Press, Wolverines players were expected to spend two to three times more than their allotted eight hours per week of mandatory workouts. The report has led to an official probe by the NCAA.

During the Rich Rodriguez press conference, the coach talked about his love for his staff and players.

"We know the rules," Rodriguez said, "and we follow the rules."

"I guess I'm here to tell you that whatever you've heard or want to believe, the truth is that this coaching staff cares very deeply about the young men in our program," he said.
