NBA forward Richard Jeffrerson has been traded from the Milwaukee Buck to the San Antonio Spus for Bruce BowenKurt Thomas, and Fabricio Oberto.

The trade is still pending league approval. If it goes through, however, the Spurs will receive an athletic swingman who helped take the New Jersey Nets to the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003. The Nets traded Jefferson to the Bucks last season. The Spurs were reportedly interested in acquiring Jefferson at the time, but fell short of the Bucks offer of Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons.

As for the Bucks, they would get three veterans who are getting long in the tooth. Bowen is known as one of the league's toughest--and many would say dirtiest--defenders. Thomas is a big man who has fought injuries the last few years. Oberto is an Argentinian center who has proven to be a solid role player.
