First it was Flavia Zoccari. Now it's Ricky Berens. The American swimmer had a wardrobe malfunction during the World Swimming Championships. During a race, Ricky Berens ripped his suit at the seams, exposing his buttocks.

"I kind of freaked out for just a second," Berens told reporters afterward. "I felt like (the hole) was almost down to my knees. I felt like I was putting on a pretty good show."

Ricky Berens' swimsuit malfunction occurred when he bent over to stretch shortly before his leg in a 400-meter free relay for the U.S. men's team. A similar swimsuit malfunction happened to Italian swimmer Flavia Zoccari earlier this month.

The new swimsuits have been the subject of controversy, and not just because of all the swimsuit malfunctions that have resulted in a few exposed behinds. The new polyurethane suits have been so efficient that 138 world records have been broken from the start of 2008. Eleven records were set during the World Championships alone. Many believe that the swimsuits will soon be banned.
